This summer, I’m riding in Bike4Chai, a two-day, 180-mile cycling event supporting the children and families of Chai Lifeline.
I am doing this ride li’iluy nishmas דבא גאלדא בת ר׳ יצחק, my grandmother. She passed away after battling a difficult illness, and throughout her life she was deeply devoted to children and education. She ran children’s groups and daycare programs, raised funds for schools, and spent her time caring for and supporting others.
Riding for Chai Lifeline feels like a meaningful way to honor her memory. Chai Lifeline supports families going through illness and crisis, helping make an incredibly difficult time a little more manageable, especially for children and parents who need care, guidance, and support.
Over the coming months, I’ll be training consistently to complete this challenge. My goal is to raise $5,400, and every donation, no matter the amount, directly supports Chai Lifeline’s work with families facing serious illness.
If you’re able to support this effort, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you for helping honor my grandmother’s memory and for supporting families who are going through their own difficult journeys.
